While watching the CrossFit games there is one thing that really stood out to me. Even after pushing through a grueling workout just about every single athlete went back into the field to cheer on their fellow competitor. It didn’t matter how tired they were, they made sure that they were pushing their competition to finish the workout. This is something that I have noticed less of at ACF lately. Don’t get me wrong there are plenty of times where athletes rally around and cheer someone on through their last few reps. This is just something I would like to see more often. So the next time you are done with the WOD, instead of cleaning up your weights and wiping down your equipment, go and cheer on a fellow member. That push may be just what they need to make it through that workout. It is this type of mentality that makes us different from your globo gyms. For the most part people go there to improve themselves and are not concerned with the progress of others. Here at Albany CrossFit we need to help and support each member so we can forge not only elite athletes, but most importantly an Elite community.
Remember the WOD is not over until the last athlete is done!
