Starting May 6th Albany Crossfit will be bringing back our Westside Powerlifting program. If you are looking to increase your bench press, deadlift, or squat, look no further. This will be an 8 week program that is based around the Westside Barbell training methodology. Just like CrossFit, Westside training is based around a constantly varied method. We will be meeting twice a week (Tuesday at 6 pm and Saturday at 9am). Tuesdays will be dedicated to Max Effort lifts and on Saturdays we will have our Dynamic Effort day. The cost of this program will be $150 and is well worth it. If you are on the fence about joining this program then I highly advise you to talk to anyone who has done the Westside program in the past and ask them their opinions. I personally made great gains when I was apart of the original Westside program at Albany CrossFit. Before starting the program my deadlift was 405lbs, my squat was 295lbs, and my bench press was 205lbs. After only six weeks, my deadlift improved to 435lbs, my squat improved to 325lbs, and my bench press improved to 235lbs.
This program will be limited to only 12 people. This ensures that athletes will get personalized attention from their coaches, along with individual plans to address any weaknesses you may have.
