I love the video . Sometimes when friends ask me what Cross Fit is, I find it difficult to explain. This video says it all. J

From the eyes of a Masters age CrossFit athlete:
I CrossFit because I want to defeat the “old” self I would become if I didn’t CrossFit – so I can be better than I otherwise would be as I age, so I can enjoy my life, my children, my grandchildren and fully engage in all the years I have.
I strive for full accountability with myself which means no more allowing age to be an excuse, no more giving in to the aches and pains of aging, no more waiting for tomorrow, this is my time to find out all I am capable of otherwise I won’t be a Master athlete, I’ll just be OLD!
Cally, I totally get thar! Age is a factor but it doesn’t have to be the major factor. Truly I Cross Fit because I can. I love the challenge of trying to push the envelope, to be the fittest I can be. Strength is so important at our age. My PRs may not be that great for someone else but for me…it makes me so happy. Plus it gives me such an endorphin high, getting in the zone and staying there long after I finish the WOD.
Completely with ya on this! We do it because we can. I also get so excited for others when they hit a new PR and they share the same enthusiasm when I do. I enjoy the community so much, regardless of our age differences.
