One Rep, One Donation at a Time

I see people describe CrossFit as a great exercise program, but I think physical fitness is secondary. Albany CrossFit and CrossFit Clifton Park are more than gyms. To me, they are home, and many of you have become family. I love this community. Joining it saved my life and now I want to use it to help others. My story is different than most, when I was over four hundred pounds I didn’t care about myself and was unable to help others. CrossFit changed that.clifton park gym

I have a good friend that has a nephew at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I see what cancer in children can do to an entire family. I was helpless as a good friend passed away from cancer and have watched family members fight it. We all know someone that is dealing with this disease. I pray that no one needs to go through that again. Because of the research St. Jude does, someday no one will have to ever again.

This all can change! We can be the reason it does. Not in ten years, but now! Stop with the apathy, self doubt, and excuses. Use your same mental fortitude that gets you through “Fran” and raise a shit ton of money for this! Why has this community not raised 100 thousand dollars? It’s simple, because we are not trying hard enough. CrossFit For Hope is a charity event we all should want to be a part of. If we band together and try our best but fall short, I will be ok with that. But, if we don’t even try?

Please sign up at http://hope.crossfit.com/ and join the Albany CrossFit team. We can change the world the same way we change ourselves. One rep, one donation at a time.
