May 2017 – Sarah Baire

Sarah Baire is our May 2017 Member of the Month! Sarah is one of the top athletes at Albany CrossFit and has reached this level due to her consistent desire to improve in all the movements we do in our WODS. Sarah has set the standard that we want all our athletes to represent and we congratulate as our newest member of the month.most unassuming athletes you will ever want to meet. She walks into our facility in flip flops (even if it’s 40 degrees outside) puts on her shoes and gets ready to crush the workout. Sarah has made incredible progress as an athlete with fantastic technique in her bodyweight and barbell movements. She consistently strives to improve in every workout and is well deserving of this honor.

Coach Murph said: “When Sarah first joined Albany CrossFit I was impressed by how well she moved. But, it takes more than good movement to be a great athlete. Sarah worked hard to improve every time she stepped into the gym. Over the last couple of years, Sarah has progressed from a good mover to one of our top athletes. I have had the privilege of seeing Sarah achieve one milestone after the next and I am excited to see what she can accomplish next. Sarah is not just a great athlete she s also an awesome person. She is upbeat, friendly, dedicated, helpful and a pleasure to coach. I am so happy that Sarah is Albany CrossFit’s May 2017 member of the month. Congratulations!”

According to Coach James: “I’m happy to see Sarah Baire named member of the month. Regardless of what the workout is, Sarah continuously works hard to improve her WOD times, barbell strength, and gymnastics skills such as handstand push-ups and pull-ups. Her dedication and consistency in coming to the gym to train along with her ability to take coaching advice has certainly been paying off with all of the progress she has made. Sarah is always a pleasure to have in class and never fails to show great kindness & support for her fellow classmates amidst a tough WOD. Oh! And she’s also very strong and has excellent Clean and Jerk technique. Congrats again Sarah! It’s definitely well deserved”

Coach Chris mentioned:“Sarah is a great athlete, she pushes herself in every WOD. I have been fortunate enough to be in her classes and to coach her and I can tell she continues to get better everyday. Sarah is a consistent and dedicated athlete who I admire. She always has a positive attitude and she is a great member of ACF. Great job Sarah!!”

Coach Pat chimed in with:“She works hard every part of every class. Sarah is very positive, always smiling and asking how people are doing. She listens closely when you speak and takes coaching suggestion well – trying to implement new things as soon as possible. Great example for all in how she treats the work and how she treats other athletes.”

Coach Shye added:“Sarah is one of the most unassuming athletes you will ever want to meet.
