Be Accountable

Here’s the perfect way to start the weekend: listen to the all new podcast!

Jenny sheds some insight on how to best improve:coaching

Day in and day out, we all walk through the same doors, share the same equipment and engage the same muscles. While our specific goals may vary, the underlying theme to better ourselves, is universal. Yet, somehow, our results are never the same. Some improve at lightning speed. Others see a slow and steady change. And there are those among us, that continue to use the same weights and struggle with the same movements.

How do you explain that?

In one word: accountability. What’s accountability? Well, it’s a big fancy word that describes the distinct relationship between effort and success.albany gym

Fact is, what you put into your workout/diet/recovery/life, is what you’ll get out of it.

-If you train hard, you’ll progress to the next level.

-If you spend the time to work on your “sucks” often, they’ll stop being the vast black holes in your game.

-If you stop putting in the work, don’t be surprised when your abilities and skills decline.

-If you “cheat” in your diet, know that this will reflect in your performance and you’ll probably feel crappy.

There’s no time like the present to self-reflect. Are you meeting your goals? Are you seeing the progress you want? If not, ask yourself why. Then ask yourself: are you holding yourself accountable.

If you’re not, know that you can start to today.
