I'd have to say Brian is one of the most surprising transformations I've encountered.
When he started, I really didn't know if he'd stick with CrossFit. Definitely a little timid at the beginning as many people are, and really unsure if he wanted to push himself. I remember the first time I told him he needed to add weight on a strength set, the baffled look was priceless, especially considering that the weight he was using was far below what his capacity was.
Fast forward to present day, he's a perfect example of what it means to be part of CrossFit. He comes in to class, beaming and eager to make new improvement. He's unafraid to challenge himself. The newest addition to his regimen has been a healthy dose of Kia's kettlebells class on Tuesday nights, and has become a permanent fixture of the community.
Honestly, you can't ask for more enthusiasm and passion than what his been bringing to the table. Along with his sister, Laura, they stay late to welcome the boocamp classes just to make the newcomers feel part of the family. There's even a term for the Monday night classes they attend: Moti-Monday's. It's their time to help motivate the people who might be a little intimidated and apprehensive, and show them that we're all in this together.
Brian has brought his family to the CCP family, his father and sister (as previously mentioned), are both obsessed. We can't imagine this place with out Brian and we look forward to years of improvement, great laughs, and shared memories together.
Congrats Brian, you earned it!
