At Albany CrossFit our mission is to care for the community we live in, from the athletes we develop to the ways we give back to society. At Albany CrossFit we strive to set an example for fitness leadership and responsibility, not just in the sport of CrossFit but in the world of health and wellness. That is why this year’s Fall Face Off event will be a fundraiser for the Barbells for Boobs charity!
We will be collecting funds leading up to-through-and after the event to help support this amazing cause. A collection bucket will also be available at the gym by the front desk. Our fundraising page can be found through the link below! Join our team ACFers!
Barbells for Boobs® is a 501(c)3 nonprofit breast cancer organization dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer, with an emphasis on women under the age of 40 and men. We believe that everyone has a RIGHT to know if they are living with breast cancer.
1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, 7% will be under the age of 40. No one is immune to breast cancer.

SCORING & DETAILS: Teams will earn (2) scores for this event by dividing into pairs. Pairings will complete the workout together earning a total working time for a score. Team pairs will run through the course moving each implement the designated distance. Once a team member has completed the entire course they will tag in the next partner. The time will stop and be recorded when the second team member crosses the finish line. Only one person can complete the course at a time.
Clean & Jerk Ladders
SCORING & DETAILS: Teams will split into two pairs and each pair will advance through the ladder together. Competitors will have 50 seconds to hit a lift at a station and 10 seconds to advance to the next. You must complete a lift to advance to the next weight. The two highest lifts completed by both members of the pair will be added together for a score. If one partner cannot complete a lift they are eliminated from the ladder, but the other partner can advance until they fail to complete a lift in the given time. Scoring Example: if partner 1 lifts 205 lbs. and partner 2 lifts 225 lbs. then score 430 lbs. for that pairing.

SCORING & DETAILS: The score is the total working time for each team. At 3, 2, 1…go! Athlete 1 will sprint 100m, when they return they will tag athlete 2 and begin chipping away at the rest of the workout while athlete 2 sprints 100m. This process will continue until all four athletes have sprinted 100m and have completed the work together. After the last pull-up, the sprint process must be completed again. Only an athlete who has completed their 100m sprint can begin working on reps at another station. All 200 reps of an exercise must be completed before teams can advance to the next exercise. The workout ends when the final team member crosses the finish line.
