It’s true that The Court Club and Albany CrossFit share a roof. But not all members who participate in racquet sports do CrossFit and not all members who do CrossFit participate in racquet sports.

That’s the beautiful thing about our facility: we offer a variety of ways for members to work on their personal health and fitness.

Our 38,000 square foot facility contains free weights ranging from 1 to 100 pounds and resistance equipment from well-known brands such as Magnum, Paramount, Hammer, Atlantis, Cybex, and Nautilus. You can also find plenty of stationary bikes (upright and recumbent), step and elliptical machines, and of course Precor treadmills.

As a member you also have access to our spacious locker rooms for men and women. The men’s locker room contains a whirlpool, steam room, and sauna; the women’s locker room also contains a sauna. Large lockers are available for day storage. Small lockers are available for annual rental.

Our Pro Shop offers a towel service, top quality great and active wear, gloves, balls, court shoes, power bars, and other goodies. Restringing and other equipment services are also available for members.

Whether you want to start a friendly pick-up game or practice your skills, take advantage of the area’s premier courts for racquetball, squash, badminton, and handball. It’s another great way to add variety to your workout, offering players a fun and exciting way to stay in top form!

The Court Club offers eight racquetball/handball courts and three squash courts—along with instruction, leagues and tournaments for all levels of ability. Plus, our racquetball and squash courts can be easily converted for basketball, badminton, wallyball and table tennis.

Racquetball

Racquetball is a game played with a short-handled racquet and a hollow rubber ball in a four-wall indoor court. Whether you are looking for a leisurely game or some intense competition you can find the perfect match in our facility!

Squash

Squash is a racket sport played in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. Power player? Shot maker? Retriever? Or do you play a game of attrition, basing your strategies on physical strength? We offer all the competition and game-building you can handle!

Badminton

Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are “singles” and “doubles”.

Handball

Handball is very similar to Racquetball, but the ball is hit by either hand instead of a racquet. Our indoor Handball is a member favorite where men and women of all ages still don gloves and goggles to duke it out!

Wallyball

Wallyball is a much faster-paced version of Volleyball that is played on a racquet ball court. You use a net and ball similar to Volleyball, but the rules are slightly different and you are allowed to hit the ball off of the walls. This is a fun, action packed sport that can be played with any number of players.

Table Tennis

Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small rackets. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net.

Our table tennis club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The club is free for gym members and $10 for visitors to play. The club is led by George Nagy who has extensive knowledge of the sport and can provide detailed instructions for beginners. If you cannot make it to club meeting times, the table is always set up and located downstairs by the squash courts. Paddles and balls are available at the front desk.

Open Reservations

Reserve a court whenever you like—it’s easy to make arrangements to play at a convenient time.

Private Lessons

We offer half-hour and hour-long lessons for beginners. Prices vary depending on length of lesson and age of the student. Whether you need to improve your stroke, sharpen your serve or learn the rules of the game, a private lesson will certainly give you the competitive edge.
