October 2011 – Ryan “OI” Denisoff (CCP)

Consistency is key.  If you want to make progress, and if you want to propel yourself in to the upper echelon of athletes, there is no substitute.  Ryan, or “OI” as we have all come to know him, has shown this element of consistency as well as anyone, in his pursuit of greater athleticism and fitness.

OI started off at Albany CrossFit, and is now a staple figure at CrossFit Clifton Park.  You can rest assured that you’ll find him hitting the WOD, working skills, or taking care of his recovery at least five times per week.  If you’ve watched him lift, you can see the huge strength gains he’s made, including a monster deadlift, that rivals the best at both gyms.  Now he’s hammering away at his gymnastics movements, trying to leave no stone unturned.

He has the competitive itch, as you could see him at the past weekend’s Face-off, giving his all for his team, and he always steps up big time at each of the Competitor Program throw-downs.  A spot on the Affiliate Team is in his sites, and it will be tough knock him out of contention the way he’s been performing.  Congrats OI!  You’ve certainly earned this Member of the Month honors, and we look to see big things from you when the CrossFit Open rolls around and beyond.
